Criminal Hackers Use Automated Tools
Today, millions of criminal hackers use automated tools to target and compromise businesses and government entities.
Not all hackers are malicious people; unfortunately, this term has become symbolic for cyber-criminal. A hacker is someone who leverages their technical skills and knowledge to overcome a problem or challenge. At its core, hacking is about unbridled creativity, fearless innovation, and the boldness needed to push past standard modes of thought. But not all individuals are satisfied with hacking for its own sake.
Although many individuals are inquisitive and do not intend to be destructive, curiosity and lack of skill contribute to today’s cybersecurity challenges. Cyber-criminals, also known as Black Hats have the will and intend to create harm and impose cost on others. If a black hat hacker discovers a vulnerability in a piece of software, they’ll take advantage of the flaw for criminal ends.
In contrast White Hat hackers are the Superman to their Black Hat brethren. White Hat hackers will have the same hacking skills as their nefarious counterparts; however, companies will often hire them to identify vulnerabilities or security flaws. White Hat hackers practice ethical hacking, approved by the business to improve information security.
